ZDARMA!!! – Propojení OpsMgr 2007 se systémy HP OpenView, IBM Tivoli TEC a Remedy

Společnost Microsoft loni v červnu koupila společnost Engyro Corporation, která vyrábí konektory pro spojení a vzájemnou komunikaci dohledových systémů dalších výrobců s produktem OpsMgr 2007.  Obecně se čekalo, že tyto konektory budou součástí příští verze OpsMgr.

Nyní však společnost Microsoft udělala nečekaný krok a uvolnila konektory ke stažení již nyní. Společností Microsoft byly uvolněny ke stažení konektory pro oboustranné propojení systému OpsMgr 2007 se systémy HP OpenView, IBM Tivoli TEC a Remedy. Stačí pouze vyplnit formulář, kde musíme především uvést IP adresu počítače, na kterém bude konektor nainstalován (např.: RMS).

The Engyro Product Connector provides enterprises of all sizes with complete event sharing and event synchronization between Microsoft System Center Operations Manager (Ops Mgr) and other enterprise management tools. System Center OpsMgr 2007 Service Pack 1 (SP1) Now Available!

Po několika měsících čekání jsme se konečně dočkali dokončení vývoje nové verze System Center Operations Manager 2007.  Byla uvolněna verze Service Pack 1 (SP1) RTM build 6278, která shrnuje kritické požadavky zákazníků, zahrnující vylepšený deployment, zvýšenou výkonnost, vylepšené reportovací služby a rozšířenou podporu.  

Základní popis novinek

• Možnost exportovat Operations Manager 2007 diagramy do Microsoft Visio VDX formátu
• Možnost publikovat reporty do více umístění, např.: Microsoft Windows SharePoint Services Web
• Zvýšený výkon a spolehlivost, např.: při práci s alerty, overridy a searches
• Rozšířený “advanced search” zavedením možnosti vyhledávat přes „monitory“ a „rule“ pomocí jejich „overrides“
• Zjednodušení vytváření nových management packů pomocí povolení pro uživatele pro kopírování pohledů z existujících management packů do nezamčených management packů
• Možnost zobrazit performance data přes Operations Manager Web konzoli a nastavení filtrů pro požadované performance čítače pro snadnější vyhledávání a navigaci

The System Center Operations Manager 2007 team is excited to announce that System Center Operations Manager 2007 SP1 has Released-to-Manufacturing (RTM), and is now available for download!  This release of SP1 marks an important milestone for the System Center Operations Manager 2007, making the product easier to support, easier to use, and easier to deploy.

With over 3000 downloads of the SP1 Release Candidate (RC) to date, and with over 15,000 SP1 RC agents deployed into production by TAP customers, it’s clear that customer’s are eager to get their hands on this powerful update to Operations Manager 2007—Microsoft’s industry-leading and award-winning end-to-end service monitoring solution for enterprise environments!

A big thank you to our customers, to those who participated in the Service Pack Release Candidate, to our MVPs, and to the Operations Manager team in getting this Service Pack out of the door!

What’s included in Service Pack 1?

Operations Manager 2007 SP1 addresses critical customer-initiated issues, including improved deployment, performance, reporting, and enhanced support. 

Highlighting some of the key new features and enhancements:

• New capability to export Operations Manager 2007 diagrams to Microsoft Visio VDX file format.
• New ability to publish reports to multiple locations, such as Microsoft Windows SharePoint Services Web sites.
• Improved performance and reliability across the product, such as when working with alerts, overrides, and searches.
• Enhanced “advanced search” by improved the ability to search across monitors and rules by their overrides.
• Simplifying the creation of new management packs by allowing users to copy views from existing management packs to an unsealed management pack.
• New ability view performance data through the Operations Manager Web console, and setup filters for desired performance counters to ease searching and navigation.
• New discoveries and views added to the Audit Collection Services (ACS), along with new monitors and alerts to track the health of ACS collectors.
• Enhanced backup and recovery with the introduction of an easier-to-use Secure Storage Backup Wizard.

Assuring a High Quality Service Pack 1

A high quality release of Service Pack 1 was a primary goal of every member of the System Center Operations Manager 2007 team.  Feedback from the Release Candidate (that became available in November 2007), along with continual testing by the team, assures that this Service Pack delivers on its quality promise.  Service Pack 1 is released with:

• Zero active blocking bugs
• 100% test sign-off
• Reliability >RTM
• Performance >RTM
• TAP Customer Sign-off: 100%
• MSIT Sign-off: 100%

The Final Build

Operations Manager 2007 SP1 is available for both x86-based and x64-based computers.  The Service Pack is available as a standalone executable that you can use to upgrade an existing Operations Manager 2007 installation, and it has also be ‘slipstreamed’ into the Operations Manager 2007 installation media to enable a single installation.

Note that the Release Candidate is fully upgradable to this final RTM version of SP1!

Today marks the RTM of the English-only version of Operations Manager 2007 SP1.  The targeted RTM of localized versions of this service pack are as follows:

• Mar 28th 2008: Japanese, German, French & Russian
• Apr 18th 2008: Italian, Spanish & Korean
• May 18th 2008: Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese & Brazilian Portuguese

Minulý týden byly uveřejněny dva nové management packy pro System Center Operations Manager 2007. Konečně se objevil management pack pro WSUS 3.0, který byl zatím jen pro verzi Operations Manager 2005.

System Center Configuration Manager SP1 Beta a R2 Beta

8 února byly na stránkách Microsoft Connect uvolněny ke stažení nové beta verze produktů Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager SP1 a R2.

Verze SP1 nyní podporuje operační systémy Windows Vista SP1 a Windows Server 2008. Také má integrovánu podpuru pro technologii Intel vPro.

Verze R2 podporuje Microsoft Application Virtualization distribution a streaming technologie. Také poskytuje SQL Reporting Services nebo hlubší integraci s Microsoft Forefront.

We are pleased to announce that System Center Configuration Manager 2007 Service Pack (SP) 1 and R2 Beta releases are now available on Microsoft Connect.  Sign in and navigate to the downloads section of the System Center Configuration Manager 2007 program site to download the bundles and release notes.  Please review the release notes carefully for late breaking information regarding the betas.   After that, please get this bits in your lab as quickly as possible and test,test,test  in preparation for your production deployment.

A few last minute notes:

• Windows Server Update Services (WSUS) 3.0 SP1 is required for ConfigMgr SP1 if using the Software Updates feature, go to the WSUS TechNet center to get more information and download WSUS 3.0 SP1.
• If you are upgrading from ConfigMgr RTM (5931), you will need to upgrade the Windows Automated Installation Kit (WAIK) on the site server to the updated version (located in the installation source under: \smssetup\WAIK) prior to upgrading the site.  You then must update your boot images to use the WinPE provided with the new WAIK.

If you find a bug:

• Is it critical or preventing you from deploying in production?:  Open a support incident with Beta Support Services using the contract provided to you and alert your TAP program manager contact immediately.

TechNet Virtual Labs: System Center (únor 2008)

Na stránkách Microsoft TechNet jsou umisťovány odkazy na Virtuální Laby k vyzkoušení různých technologií. Jedná se v principu o předem připravené prostředí operačního systému, případně dalších technologií splečnosti Microsoft. Ovládání se podobá práci s Microsoft Virtual Serverem. Má to své výhody: úspora místa na discích, úspora výkonu našeho HW a samozřejmě při spuštění labu je prostředí vždy funkční. Chce to pouze rychlý přístup k internetu.

Uvolněny RTM verze produktů Windows Server 2008 a Capacity Planner 2007

Microsoft Windows Server 2008 RTM

Dnes byl ukončen vývoj poslední verze serverového operačního systému od společnosti Microsoft – Windows Server 2008 a byl předán do výroby (RTM). Zatím je k dispozici x64 verze a je možno ji stáhnout například ze stránek MSDN nebo Technet.

System Center Capacity Planner 2007 RTM

Také byla uvolněna finální verze aplikace System Center Capacity Planner (SCCP) 2007 pro plánování a případné následné změny HW konfigurace prostředí pro implementaci serverových distribuovaných technologií společnosti Microsoft. V této verzi je možné zatím plánovat konfiguraci pro Microsoft Exchange Server 2007.

Novinky v této verzi:

• Aplikační model pro Exchange Server 2007
• Rozšíření o nové modely společnosti Microsoft, obsahující Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 a Microsoft Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 – uvedeny budou v nejbližší době na webu TechNet.
